We lived in one house for 12 years. That was a record for me. My dad worked construction in the 50s and 60s, so we usually followed the job. I've lived in upstate New York, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma. I was born in New Mexico and would love to live there again.

Great post. Thank you for stopping by.

I have lived in Texas all of my life. But when I got married I moved almost 6 hours away (and was still in Texas). It was a bittersweet time for me as I was a newly wed wife and calling mom every time a recipe didn't work became quite costly. But I had my gift of a husband.

However, your post made me think that as I longed for home upon the news of my first pregnancy, so God must desire us to long for HIS home--OUR home.

Good thoughts. I'm a military brat. I've never lived at one address this long, though we did live in Michigan off and on for longer than this. This is the first place I've lived in that I wasn't renting. I can plant a garden, have chickens, paint the walls, and all that without getting permission from anyone, though I do clear it with hubby first. Good post.Trishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12631147253931042678noreply@blogger.com
